It's an exciting day today because we get to announce something new that's been in the works for a long time. Meet Wild Wolf Collective, an online shop based in Western Australia that offers beautiful, mostly handmade gear and accessories for all the sun-seekers out there When their founder Chella approached us last year to create some exclusive styles for them, we were beyond happy to join in. The resulting "Mandala" surfboard bags are something we're really proud of - they're a little different from our usual aztec patterned bags. The prints are more feminine, flowing & free. Wild Wolf Collective is the exclusive purveyor of these designs, and it's been tough keeping them under wraps while the shop came together. The new store has a really good feeling about it. It probably has a lot to do with the inspiring person behind it all. In Chella's words... A Wild Wolf Collective girl breathes in inspiration and exudes radiant joy, taking time to listen to her heart, feed her spirit and nurture her soul. She is consciously present and passionate to live – loving music, nature, the feeling of salt in her hair and sand between her toes, she rocks her own individual style! We are definitely into that!
Besides stocking all the original Sandbags, WWC also has the entire "Palms Collection" and a special "Sailor" bag with watery blue stripes and a nude leather nose. Thanks to Chella & WWC for bringing Chapman at Sea to Australia! The Sandbag is by far our best-selling beach bag, so we're excited to unveil it in it's latest incarnation. Presenting the leather Sandbag. The leather Sandbag isn't really a Sandbag at all. It doesn't have a burlap base, it doesn't let sand fall out of it, but it does share the same design and pulled-rope closure with the original. Tasha decided to make it out of leather because she wanted it for herself and it worked so well it's become her everyday go-to bag. The rope handles pull the bag closed when it's lifted, which is pretty convenient when you want to grab it and go. Another difference with this bag is the side tassel. The original has 2 long ropes on each side with tassels at the end, but the new one gets a single giant fluffy tassel on each side, accented by stitched leather bands. The leather itself is richly textured and nude in color. Despite the light color it's finished to be durable and easily wipes clean. If you couldn't tell, there are a lot of features in this bag we're proud of, which is why we decided to add it to the collection. Get a better look in the Etsy shop.
A project that's been in the works for months finally goes live today. We were asked by Free People to design a one of a kind board bag for their summer collection. It's our basic natural canvas bag, embellished with Tasha's tribal patterns. Unlike the Scribbs, this artwork in done in vibrant neon pinks and oranges. Perfect for a summer at the beach and only available on through the FP website.
Adding a few lighter colors to the line up for summer. There weren't any waves around so we tried to get some shots of them on the beach this weekend.
Last week we got together with one of our good friends who also happens to be particularly model-worthy, and we got some shots of things from the new Fall/Winter 2013 collection. A very fun afternoon! Cold-season things are always the hardest because even though it's winter everywhere else, it's still 80 degrees here in Florida! So this really might be fall/winter for the Floridian.
