Food52 is an awesome website that's all about helping people become smarter, better, happier cooks. To help with that they have a "provisions" section that offers goods they've hand selected from various makers and craftsmen. We're honored to have our natural & storm Sandbags, plus the Stormy Stubbs board bag, included in this exclusive collection.
The bags are part of their Beach Party collection that features everything you need to have the perfect beach day. For more help with that, checkout their writeup that tells you exactly what to bring for beachside happiness.
We have to say, it's a good-looking collection & we were really happy to be included. Even more exciting was seeing how their pros styled and shot the items for the sale.
The Sandbag is by far our best-selling beach bag, so we're excited to unveil it in it's latest incarnation. Presenting the leather Sandbag. The leather Sandbag isn't really a Sandbag at all. It doesn't have a burlap base, it doesn't let sand fall out of it, but it does share the same design and pulled-rope closure with the original.
Tasha decided to make it out of leather because she wanted it for herself and it worked so well it's become her everyday go-to bag. The rope handles pull the bag closed when it's lifted, which is pretty convenient when you want to grab it and go.
Another difference with this bag is the side tassel. The original has 2 long ropes on each side with tassels at the end, but the new one gets a single giant fluffy tassel on each side, accented by stitched leather bands. The leather itself is richly textured and nude in color. Despite the light color it's finished to be durable and easily wipes clean. If you couldn't tell, there are a lot of features in this bag we're proud of, which is why we decided to add it to the collection. Get a better look in the Etsy shop.
Good looking blue & natural striped Sailor for Karly in Daytona, FL.

A project that's been in the works for months finally goes live today. We were asked by Free People to design a one of a kind board bag for their summer collection. It's our basic natural canvas bag, embellished with Tasha's tribal patterns. Unlike the Scribbs, this artwork in done in vibrant neon pinks and oranges. Perfect for a summer at the beach and only available on through the FP website.
Adding a few lighter colors to the line up for summer. There weren't any waves around so we tried to get some shots of them on the beach this weekend.
The Chapman at Sea x Free People collaborative board bag is now restocked at freepeople.com. In addition to the natural/neon pattern, this year we've added a khaki/black/white geo design as well.
The Apatchee was the first surfboard bag we ever made. It was kind of our mascot. We're happy to say it's found a new home with Fernando in Spain. He was nice enough to send us some photos of it so, as he said, "you can see your piece of art is safe with me in Spain!"
